Responsibilities:

• The Cost Accountant position is onsite and assists in all accounting activities for the Greenville, SC operations, including compliance, daily GL maintenance tasks, cost maintenance, month end closing procedures, and analysis of monthly results. The position requires a working relationship with different functional areas to ensure an in depth understanding of the financial results.
• The candidate will demonstrate a solid understanding of GAAP accounting as well as data management and financial analysis skills.
• Ensure the production of timely, accurate and relevant financial reports to plant management in order to facilitate understanding and analysis of the business and business opportunities
• Ensure that accounting practices follow all relevant accounting standards, and company values and practices
• Perform the monthly accounting close process, balance sheet reconciliations and journal entry postings

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Salary: $35.00 - $37.00 per hour
